I'm enamored with homestead living- that is, growing your own food, making from scratch, and preserving for winter. Reducing dependence on "the grid" is something that excites me, but let's be very honest- I live in a section 8 apartment in a suburb of Buffalo. I do not own land, I am allowed to garden, but the home I have is not really my own.
This sets me apart from many homesteaders, even the urban ones. Urban homesteading is as close as I can get right now, and even that assumes ownership somehow.
Sorry guys. So here's a homesteading, money-saving, food-creating blog for the rest of us.
How do you live like a farmhouse wife in a tiny basement apartment? And even more relevant, what does this have to do with food and money? After all, I just coined the Nickel and Dime City title, so how does homesteading factor in to saving money?
